Keep signing up!

Well, it’s going to be April, and that means it’s been about 9 years and 9 months since we graduated from high school. Time flies when you’re growing up.

So far we’ve had over a dozen people buy tickets (don’t let the number on the Attendees page fool you – there are husbands, wives, and people who bought tickets on the old system!)

Suffice to say, keep the registrations coming in. It would be awesome to have a packed house and lots of familiar (albeit older) faces.

See you soon!

Got a hankering to get your hands dirty? We could use your help making sure this reunion was worth the 10-year wait.

Click that link to join a reunion committee. Here’s the options we have up right now:

VIDEO TEAM
Go back to school one day and schedule interviews with anyone who was there from 1996-2000. Sounds like Wynne Satterwhite is Principal now. Mr. Shaull still lurks in the choir room. I bet Randall, Stoehr, and Rosenberg are all still teaching. We need 2-3 person team with a video recorder (Flip cam?) to take some fun footage and interviews and splice it up into a 5-10 min video we can play at the reunion.

REGISTRATION TEAM
Look at it this way – you get to meet everyone! We can do this in, say, three 45-minute shifts, starting at 6 and ending around 8pm. If people are two hours late then they probably aren’t coming. If you have parents who wouldn’t mind sitting the whole time, all the better. We just need help figuring this out.

POSTERS TEAM
Like the video team, posters team should make 4-5 big poster boards with blow ups from yearbooks, etc. Might be fun to do a Then & Now comparison. Lots of construction there in the last 10 years. We’re also collecting anecdotes and family details now when people register, so it might be fun to create a collage or two. I can help by getting attendees to submit pics.

PRINT TEAM
This one’s led by Sabiha Basrai (thanks Sabiha! :0) and will involve making a printed keepsake for people to take home. Could share a lot of the info from the Posters team. I’d like for it to also have contact info from people who attended so we can stay in touch. Kinda like a nicely designed, small simple updated yearbook but printed at Kinko’s.

PREP TEAM
Finally, we need 4-5 people to show up a couple hours early to get everything in order. Hopefully setup will be a breeze and we can sit around drinking Mai Tai’s until all our old buddies show up.

Are we missing something? Leave a comment and let us know!
